Inspired by Oakley's story
The phone call no parent should ever receive.
After 14-year-old Oakley was seriously injured in an e-bike accident in Dubai, his family began Ride Safe Dubai, a parent-led community helping young riders enjoy e-bikes safely, responsibly and legally.
Love the ride. Respect the risk.
For young riders, parents, schools, communities and safety partners across Dubai.

Inspired by Oakley's Story
A real story behind a positive movement
Oakley loved the freedom of riding his e-bike, as many young people in Dubai do. One evening, after he did not respond to a message saying dinner was ready, his father called him. A stranger answered. Oakley had been involved in a serious accident.
This website is not about blame. It is about awareness, community and safer choices. Oakley's story is being shared so that another family might not receive the same phone call.
Ride together. Ride properly. Ride safely. Come home.
Not anti-bike. Pro-safety. Pro-community. Pro-children coming home.
Our Position
We Are Not Anti-Bike
Young people love these bikes. They offer freedom, independence and excitement. The answer is not to ignore that or pretend they will go away.
Ride Safe Dubai exists to help families create safer ways for young riders to enjoy e-bikes responsibly, legally and with better supervision, education and community support.

Why This Matters
Dubai Has a Growing Youth E-Bike Safety Issue
Across Dubai, parents, schools, communities and authorities are increasingly concerned about young riders using e-bikes, e-scooters and motorised personal transport in unsafe ways. Concerns include underage riding, modified bikes, high speeds, riding on roads, riding near schools, riding at night and lack of protective equipment.
Modified e-bikes have reportedly been caught reaching extreme speeds
Dubai schools have introduced bans and warnings around motorised personal transport
Authorities have increased monitoring and enforcement
Parents are increasingly asking for clearer guidance and safer options
Formal statistics and references will be reviewed and cited before public launch.
